Sherief Elsayed, Chief Executive Officer, Professional Medical Group
Sherief Elsayed graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, in the year 2000. He subsequently attained Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England and he is now a Specialist Registrar in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery in Nottingham. He is also undertaking a Masters in Medical Education.
Having met his business partner Tom Cosker in the first week of Medical School, today they run the United Kingdom’s largest taught course to final year Medical Students, in the form of Professional Medical Education. Professional Medical Education had very humble origins – with only a few students in the Medical School social club to begin with! Professional Medial Finance was then set-up to provide Doctors, Dentists and other Healthcare Professionals with the very best financial advice, tailored to suit these special groups’ needs. Outside of work Sherief enjoys travel and has in fact travelled extensively around the world. He has been an Advanced Scuba Diver for 15 years and continually pursues this hobby. |

Tom Cosker, Managing Director, Professional Medical Group
Tom Cosker also graduated from the University of Wales College of Medicine, Cardiff, in 2000. Having come from a strong business background, Tom wanted to combine the art and challenge of Medicine with his strong entrepreneurial skills, and hence Professional Medical was born.
After attaining his Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of England he went on to Oxford to train in Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery. He completed his Masters in Trauma Surgery in 2008 and is currently working for one of the world’s foremost Management Consultancies which has added to his breadth of experience considerably.
Outside of work Tom enjoys playing as much sport as time allows, particularly enjoying Rugby, Tennis and Running. He lives in Oxford with his wife Alana. |

The Rt Hon Lord Parkinson, Chairman of the Board, Professional Medical Group
Lord Parkinson has had a varied and interesting career. He read English and Law at Cambridge and went on to become a Chartered Accountant before founding his own industrial holding company.
He first became a Member of Parliament in 1970, and highlights of his political career include:
Since 1992 he has been a Member of the House of Lords, and has also acted as Chairman and Director of a number of companies.
At Cambridge, Lord Parkinson was a keen athlete running for Cambridge against Oxford and for the combined Oxford and Cambridge team again Harvard & Yale and Pennsylvania and Cornell. He is a keen skier and golfer and has a great interest in opera and reading.

Dr Harry Brunjes, Non-executive Director, Professional Medical Group
Harry Brünjes initially graduated from London University and then qualified in medicine at Guy’s Hospital. This was followed by positions as a hospital doctor, general practitioner, senior partner and police surgeon before starting a practice in Harley Street.
Subsequently, Harry became Chairman of The Premier Medical Group. Other appointments have included Chairman of the Personal Injury Forum at BUPA, Chairman of RTA Ltd and Kuro Healthcare. In 2007 Harry was President of the Brighton & Sussex Medico-Chirurgical Society. Harry was a founder member of the Expert Witness Institute, in 2002 was elected a Fellow and now Chairs the EWI Development Committee. Other roles include Chairman Designate of Lancing College and a Fellow of the Woodard Corporation.
Previously Harry was Governor of Bedford Modern School and Chairman of Mowden School. Between 2003 and 2005 he was the Chairman of the Association of Medical Reporting Organisations. Outside medicine Harry enjoys all sport, in particular golf, soccer and cricket. Harry has a lifelong interest in music and theatre. For several years he played piano professionally, including television and theatre which subsequently led on to after dinner speaking. Harry is a regular writer, broadcaster and lecturer. Harry is married to Jacquie (well-known dancer and choreographer) and they have four children. |
